Become a note-taking ninja!

Today we are going to concentrate on taking notes. This is a really useful skill when you are doing a research project. It will help you to:

• Save time.
• Understand the key information in a text.
• Draw a conclusion.
• Use your own words when writing your project.

The secrets to note-taking...

Follow these easy steps to take excellent notes...

1. Skim-read the text to find out what it is about 
2. Identify any keywords (highlight them)
3. Read the text carefully
4. Note down the important information (use notes, not sentences!)
5. Review the information to draw any conclusions from what you have read.
